Penny Hydraulics partnered with Thompsons Isuzu in Billingham for an innovative project on one of their stock demo vehicles, an Isuzu N35 LWB Dropside. The challenge was to equip this vehicle with a vehicle mounted crane system that would enhance its utility without compromising the full bed space.
This system was specifically aimed at customers in the log delivery sector, requiring a solution that could manage heavy lifting while maintaining a professional and state-of-the-art image.
After a detailed analysis and understanding of the client’s needs, Penny Hydraulics designed and installed the PH110.3 crane. This state-of-the-art Vehicle Mounted Crane, mounted on the near side rear below the floor, allows full utilization of the bed space. The PH110.3 is an exceptionally compact yet robust crane, with a low self-weight and a maximum outreach of up to 4.5 meters. It offers:
Powered off the vehicle battery, the crane eliminates the need for manual handling during offloading operations, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
The project was a resounding success, resulting in a highly efficient, professional vehicle mounted crane system that sets a new standard in the industry.
